Staffing
There will be twelve Patana staff on each week, plus two nurses.
Accommodation and food
We stay at the Golden Gold Resort, close to Khao Yai National Park.
The resort has large, open areas suitable for our use and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
Most meals are buffet-style, with a choice of western and Thai dishes.
There are always vegetarian dishes available, and we check that the food is nut free.
Medical Facility: Bangkok Hospital, Pak Chong
This hospital will be ready to receive children in the case of an emergency.
Student medication
If your child needs to take any medication, please send it in on the day of departure.
All medication should be in a sealed container labelled with the child’s name, class and details of the dosage in Thai and English. This will be given to the accompanying nurse, who will ensure that medications are administered correctly.
No children should bring any medicines for self-administration, except for asthma or serious allergy relief. If your child carries an epi-pen, or asthma medication, they should keep this medication with them in their day pack.
Please make sure that the class teacher knows that your child needs to carry this medication throughout the trip and is fully informed of any serious medical conditions.
The Medical Information Form on the Parents’ Gateway must be fully updated, even if nothing has changed. This information will assist us in meeting the medical and dietary needs of all children.
Vaccinations
The school recommends that Tetanus, Hepatitis A and B are up to date. Rabies and Japanese Encephalitis are recommended, and you should talk to your physician if you have concerns.
Insurance information for parents
Insurance costs are included within the overall costs of each Residential Visit. Whilst the school considers this level of cover reasonable and acceptable, parents should satisfy themselves that this level of cover is adequate for their own personal circumstances.
Please note that the medical cover relates to any treatment required as the result of an accident, not as the result of an illness. This link will take you to our local insurance fact sheet and some further information about insurance cover.
As part of the residential trip sign-up process this year, we will be collecting students' passport details and medical insurance information via the JotForm. This information is required to support travel arrangements and ensure all necessary documentation is in place well in advance of the trip. We kindly ask parents to complete all sections of the form accurately when registering their child.
All information and documents collected will be securely stored in accordance with PDPA requirements and will only be accessed and used when necessary.
Communication between home and school
One photo per class per day will be posted on the Residential blog with more to share when we return.
We do not allow contact with families, except for birthday phone calls.
Should a problem arise, a member of staff will contact you.
Please ensure that all contact details are up to date and supply two contact numbers for this purpose.
